Commissioned mural for a local cosmetics/chemicals business, designed to fit their theme of "Images of Beauty Through Time". From left to right, the images are based on Nefertiti, a geisha, a Greek statue, a medieval woman, a Marie Antoinette-type, a Spanish dancer, a flapper, a World War I woman, a Native American, a 1950's Donna Reed type, a Jackie O. type, a Pam Greer type, and a modern two-toned hair woman.

I designed and painted it along with ~zebulee [link] (look for his style in much of the amazing detail work on the eyes, shading, and pillars). Many thanks to ~yamanekko [link] for the not-so-fun part of painting over pencil marks and drip lines, as well as blocking in colors, and making suggestions such as, "Bright orange lips? Pink hair? You might want to rethink that..."

(^_^) I'm glad it's done! It is 7.5ft high x 28.5 ft long and took 10 painting days (about 80-90 man hours) to complete.

Yeah, I believe in Jesus Christ as my Saviour, but I'm not going to make you put it in your signature, 'cause I'm cool like that. 8)

HOLY CHEEZ WHIZ that's awesome.
I really like the woman with the black braids, her hair came out so pretty.

The one with the pearls scares me...

Awww. I like her. She looks a little like my great-grandmother.

Well done. My only comment would be about the Alice-in-Wonderland-ish girl (blonde with the blue dress). She's looks a little off. But that could be the angle of the painting.

Yeh, the 1950's woman, she scares me too. Her eyes used to be even bigger...

Oh wait, I thought that comment was about the blue dress 1950's woman... I like the red dress flapper! She's cute! Really... They both have pearls, so I was confused. I'll try to get a better photo in here so it's easier to see the ladies on the ends.

The I like is about the flapper. Is the Alice in Wonderland girl from the 50's?

The woman with blond shoulder-length hair, blue eyes and a blue dress and pearls is a typical 1950's Donna Reed type housewife.

That's who I ment when I was talking about my great grandmother.
The blue dressed woman is the one that's wonky.
